Raising and managing private support

Donors gave a record amount in gifts and pledges to the University of Minnesota in fiscal year 2007, reflecting their commitment to shaping a strong future for the U. The University of Minnesota Foundation (UMF) works to maximize the power of this philanthropic investment through sound fiscal management and by ensuring that gifts are used as the donors have requested. As the figures below show, a steady increase in gifts and growth in the endowment have, in turn, resulted in increased benefits to the U.
