George Gibson, 1930 and 1934, together
with his late wife Orpha, has created a professorship in hydrogeology
and a fellowship for outstanding graduate students.
Dionysis Foustoukos, originally from
Athens, Greece, is a Ph.D. student in the department. Dionysis
said, “The Gibson Fellowship was extremely beneficial
to my research projects and its effect was enormous in the overall
