Planned Giving

Planned gift, deferred gift, estate gift - different names for a way to manage your affairs, plan for the future, and make a gift to the University of Minnesota. These are the most common types of planned gifts and a variety of tools to help you and your advisors.

  George Gibson, 1930 and 1934, together with his late wife Orpha, has created a professorship in hydrogeology and a fellowship for outstanding graduate students.

Dionysis Foustoukos, originally from Athens, Greece, is a Ph.D. student in the department. Dionysis said, “The Gibson Fellowship was extremely beneficial to my research projects and its effect was enormous in the overall progress of my Ph.D. program.”
