Q. The UofM's vision is to be in the top three of public research universities. Who's in that league now?
  "The best way to aspire. . .is to set a very audacious goal. "

  "Everyone is articulating high aspirational goals for the future."

Q. The strategic positioning is a long-range plan for the U, but what are some of the things you hope will be achieved in the near term?
  "I actually believe we will make a down payment on transforming the future."
